Why join the IDRA 14 Class Association?
The IDRA 14 is known as a dinghy class that enjoys great competition and fantastic socials. The association is here to further the interests of the class and represent the interests of everyone sailing the IDRA 14. For class organised events both helm and crew must be association members.
Each year we work on;
Managing day to day affairs of the class
Promoting the class to the public by maintaining a presence in sailing media
Organising National and Northern Championships
Coordinating social evenings
Keeping the website up-to-date with news and information
Keeping members informed via email communications
Running the IDRA 14 facebook page
Protecting the class rules to maintain fair racing
Encouraging class development while keeping true to class rules
Maintaining the one design nature of the class
Running land and water based training events
Growing a tight community of friends who enjoy the IDRA 14 and sailing
The association is run by a group of volunteers who give their time and expertise to maintain the class. The income earned is primarily from subscriptions but is sometimes enhanced by events or donations. Our aim is not to make money but to break even each year. With your membership we can continue our work and grow sailing in this wonderful class.
