Regatta Trophy Series
Scoring for the Regatta Trophy Series
These scoring rules will apply to all future seasons unless changed by discussion and majority vote at the AGM.
The Regatta Trophy Series shall consist of a number of regattas held on the Island of Ireland, These regatta are nominated by the class members each year at the AGM.
The series consists of a minimum of 3 regattas; Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club 'At Home' regatta, Dun Laoghaire Regatta and Sutton Dinghy Club regatta. Others may be voted in at preceding AGM
The low-point scoring system shall apply to all events in the Regatta Trophy Series; (1st = 1pt, 2nd = 2pts, i.e., a boat’s place shall equal her finishing place unless she is scored DNF, DNC etc. when her score is computed on the basis of the total entry).
If a boat does not attend one or more regattas, she shall be given DNC whcih will equal the total number of participants in the series plus 1
A single discard shall apply when three or more events have been sailed.
By participating in a nominated regatta, each competitor and boat owner agrees to be governed by these rules, the racing rules of sailing, class rules and the respective sailing instructions.
The decision of the committee is final in any dispute
