Clontarf is one of the oldest sailing clubs in Ireland being founded in 1875! There are 13 active IDRAs at Clontarf. The sailing area is very convenient to the club with free public parking adjacent.  Pints are served in the bar after sailing. There is a lively class of all ages, who are active socially and on the water. The club has a full program of sailing events and offers over 50 races in a season. 

There are approximately 10 active IDRA14's in Dún Laoghaire based in the DMYC and RStGYC. They compete every Tuesday evening and Saturday afternoon in the DBSC races. Sailors from both clubs have dinner at the DMYC after Tuesday evening racing which always makes for a lively après-racing gathering. Throughout the year the southside yacht clubs organise their own regattas which the IDRA's generally also attend together with visiting boats from other clubs.

Howth Yacht Club offers vibrant dinghy sailing programs, catering to all skill levels with regular races and coaching sessions in the scenic Dublin Bay. Its junior sailing courses are especially popular, helping young sailors build confidence and skills on the water.

The club is also deeply involved in community initiatives, running inclusive events and outreach programs to make sailing accessible to all. Through partnerships with schools and local groups, it fosters a strong sense of maritime community and engagement

Sutton Dinghy Club is an Irish Sailing affiliated sailing club and sail training school located in Dublin. Its activities include organised dinghy racing and provision of Irish Sailing certified training courses. These activities are carried out in Sutton Creek, Dublin Bay and in the Club.

Sutton Dinghy Club is a sponsor of a local Community Employment Project, based and managed from the Sutton Dinghy Club premises with employees supporting a wide variety of local community organisations in Raheny, Kilbarrack and Sutton.
